台中精機成立於1954年，以所謂『黑手業』的傳統工作母機起家。草創時期由故董事長黃奇煌、李道東常董及黃德金常董三位於台中〝草尾仔埕〞向人承租4坪大的屋簷為廠房，主要生產牛頭刨床及皮帶式車床等。走過一甲子的歲月，台中精機在黃明和董事長的帶領下，本著「一地研發、兩地生產、全球行銷」的經營策略，建立起兩岸七大製造基地，全球八大行銷服務中心版圖。從傳統走向高科技精密產業，秉持品質至上、服務第一理念，邁向「華人圈精密機械第一品牌」。
